About

Hunter Hawkins is a singer-songwriter and filmmaker whose music is rooted in honesty, growth, and lived experience. Raised in the Bay Area, Hawkins discovered songwriting after finding a rare 1954 Gibson J-45 guitar in their grandfather’s garage. Teaching themself to play through instinctive fingerstyle patterns rather than traditional chords, they developed a distinctive cascading guitar sound that pairs naturally with their powerful multi-octave voice. The result is an intimate and emotionally resonant style that blends contemporary folk and pop storytelling. Drawing inspiration from Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Brian Wilson, Norah Jones, and Regina Spektor, Hawkins creates songs that feel reflective, personal, and quietly moving. Their music invites listeners into moments of vulnerability while maintaining a warmth that lingers long after the final note. Hunter’s growing momentum has taken them to stages around the world—from London and Paris to New York’s legendary Bitter End and the iconic Newport Folk Festival. They have shared stages with Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx, and David Foster, and was recently a featured performer alongside Loggins at the Keep Memory Alive Annual Gala at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Presented with the Emerging Artist Award at the FestForums 2026 Annual Awards, Hunter is managed by Kevin Jonas Sr. and Jonas Group Entertainment. Their upcoming eight-song debut album, produced by Kenny Loggins, is set for release on Red Van Records this spring. The first single, “Here Now,” debuted June 5th, 2026. Titled Awake, the album introduces a compelling new voice in contemporary folk-pop—one defined by sincerity, artistry, and a storytelling spirit that continues to connect with audiences around the world.
